Howell County Health Department reports that an additional 9 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to 544. Currently, there are 148 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 148, six are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Of the new cases 3 reside in West Plains, 1 lives in Willow Springs, and 5 live in Mountain View. Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine. There are 4 cases that are considered community spread, or the source of the infection is unknown. There are 5 cases that have been linked to known cases.
