Howell County Health Department reports that an additional 49 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to 616. Currently, there are 171 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 171, seven are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Of the new cases 38 reside in West Plains, 4 live in Willow Springs, 2 live in Mtn. View, 2 live in Pomona, 1 lives in Peace Valley and 1 lives in Caulfield. Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine. There are 20 cases that are considered community spread, or the source of the infection is unknown. There are 29 cases that have been linked to known cases.
