Howell County Health Department reports that an additional 21 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to 641. Currently, there are 134 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 134, eight are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Of the new cases 16 reside in West Plains, 2 live in Mountain View, 2 live in Moody and 1 lives in Pomona. Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine. There are 10 cases that are considered community spread, or the source of the infection is unknown. There are 11 cases that have been linked to known cases.
