Howell County Health Department reports that an additional 40 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to 870. Currently, there are 180 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 180, 15 are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Of the new cases 30 reside in West Plains, 2 live in Mountain View, 5 live in Willow Springs, 2 live in Pomona and 1 lives in Pottersville. Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine. There are 22 cases that are considered community spread, or the source of the infection is unknown. There are 18 cases that have been linked to known cases.
