Howell County Health Department reports that an additional 30 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to 1588. Currently, there are 225 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 225, five are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Of the new cases 21 reside in West Plains, 3 live in Mountain View, 4 live in Willow Springs, and 1 lives in Pomona and 1 lives in Summersville. Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine. There are 9 cases that are considered community spread, or the source of the infection is unknown. There are 21 cases that have been linked to known cases.
