Howell County Health Department reports that an additional 19 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to 2020. Currently, there are 159 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 159, five are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Of the new cases 11 reside in West Plains, 1 lives in Mountain View, 2 live in Pottersville. 2 live in Caulfield, 2 live in Bakersfield, and 1 lives in Pomona. Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine. There are 13 cases that are considered community spread, or the source of the infection is unknown. There are 6 cases that have been linked to known cases.
