Howell County Health Department reports that an additional 29 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to 2104. Currently, there are 180 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 180, eight are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Of the new cases 21 reside in West Plains, 3 lives in Mountain View, 3 live in Willow Springs, 1 lives in Bakersfield and 1 lives in Pottersville. Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine. There are 15 cases that are considered community spread, or the source of the infection is unknown. There are 14 cases that have been linked to known cases.
